OPZS BATTERIES (LIQUID ELECTROLYTE BATTERIES)
Made up of tubular plates, our open OPzS batteries have a very long lifespan and high resistance to cycling. The use of special grids with a high concentration of lead optimizes load behavior and corrosion resistance. The batteries offered are specially developed for renewable energy applications and in particular for autonomous solar systems.
Our OPzS batteries are available filled with electrolyte or charged dry (for long-term storage, container transport or air transport). Dry charged batteries must be filled with diluted sulfuric acid (density 1.24 kg/l @ 20 ºC). The electrolyte may be more concentrated in cold climates, or more diluted in hot climates.
In an OPzS accumulator, hydrogen and oxygen are produced during an overcharge; a certain quantity of water is then lost which must be replaced regularly by filling. Recombination caps significantly reduce the frequency of filling open batteries.
