The submersible pump must, as its name suggests, be totally submerged. It is installed in a borehole (or well). When the borehole level is static, installation of the pump will be easier. When the borehole level is dynamic, care must be taken to place the pump deeper in the borehole in order to avoid stopping the pump as soon as the water level drops below the pump.
